The ball as it moves.
2 out of the 3 bases are taken with the score at 6-3, favoring the home team in the 9th inning. In front of me stands a 6"8' man with large bulky arms wielding an aluminum bat that reads, "AKADEMA PRO." His jersey and pants are scuffed with brown and white dirt. His eyes are hidden in shadow under his bright red helmet, but are trained on my face. He raises the bat in striking position and takes a stance with optimal momentum for a high impact swing.
The audience roars, the wind is calm, and I begin to move. The sweat is dripping from my forehead to my chin and then falling to the dirt below. Cocking my arm back, I lean back, twist to the right, stand on one foot, and then step forward, extending arm and opening my hand slightly downwards. As the sphere leaves my hand at tremendous speed, it rolls out along my palm and the tips of my fingers; the ball speed gauge screen reads "99 MPH." It arcs slightly upwards from the wind catching under the ball then expelling on the forward section of it.
The batter arcs back a little then with a burst of speed arcs forward and extends the bat. The ball contacts the bat; it is stopped dead in its wake. It changes direction and launches towards the bleachers in the far back. The men on the bases run with incredible speed; the batter drops the bat and sprints toward the first base. The audience cheers, screams, yell, and flash their cameras with the sight of the impact. The receiver in the far back sprints with his glove in his left hand towards the speeding white sphere; his cleats kick up dust and dirt with each step on the ground.
The ball approaches the back blue wall with the receiver trailing close behind. Every player on the bases finishes their run to the home plate, but the batter lingers on the second confident of his hit. The receiver leaps forward, extends his gloved arm, and encloses the ball in it. He lands on his back in the dirt, with his hand cradled on his chest. The crowd explodes in an uproar of sound. The batter reduces speed, leans back a little with his hands on his hips, and his head tilted down. The scoreboard displays, "6-5, 9th INNING," and in large orange text, "HOME TEAM WINS!"
